Screen Repair
Cracked glass, a black display, lines across the screen, flickering, or a touchscreen that has stopped responding properly.

Tablets take a different kind of punishment from phones. They are rarely dropped from height, but they get sat on, stood on, packed into bags with keys, and used until the battery gives out — which, given how long people keep them, is often a good few years.
They are also built differently. A tablet screen is a much larger piece of glass, bonded far more extensively than a phone display, which makes the repair a slower and more delicate job. It is very much doable, but it is not a while-you-wait repair.

A tablet screen is bonded around its entire perimeter with strong adhesive, and the panel is large enough that it has to be released slowly and evenly to avoid cracking it further. Rushing that is how a repairable tablet becomes an unrepairable one.
Because of this, tablets almost always need to be left with us rather than repaired while you wait. We will give you a realistic timescale when we quote.

It depends on the tablet and the fault. Tablets tend to stay useful much longer than phones, so a battery or screen on an otherwise healthy device is often well worth doing. On an older tablet that no longer gets updates, less so. We will give you a straight view.
Yes — iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad Pro screens are repaired at the shop. See our iPad repairs page for more detail on what is involved.
Yes. Tablet batteries are large and heavily glued in, so it is a longer job than a phone, but it is a very worthwhile repair on a tablet that is otherwise in good shape.
Not urgent, but worth dealing with. A large cracked panel is more prone to spreading than a phone screen, and the edges of the glass can lift. It is also easier to repair before the damage progresses further.
