Where is T-Repairs?

We are at 65 Carr Lane, Hull HU1 3RQ, in the city centre a short walk from Princes Quay and the Interchange. Customers bring their devices to the shop.

Do I need to book an appointment?

No — you are welcome to come in. It is worth calling or messaging first with your make, model and fault so we can check we have the right part in stock, which can save you a second trip.

Can you tell me the price before I come in?

For common repairs on common models, usually yes — call or send us a WhatsApp message with the device and the fault. For anything less clear-cut, or for liquid damage, we would rather look at the device than quote you a figure that turns out to be wrong.

What should I bring with me?

Just the device. If it has a case, bring that too. Where a repair needs the device to be tested afterwards it helps if you know your passcode — we will explain if that applies.

Should I back up my device first?

Yes, always, for any repair with anyone. Most repairs do not touch your data, but a device that has been dropped or soaked may have more wrong with it than is visible, and a current backup costs you nothing.

About the repair

How long will my repair take?

Common phone repairs on common models are often same-day when the part is in stock. Tablets take longer because of how they are built, and anything needing a part ordered in depends on delivery. We will give you a realistic timescale when we quote rather than an optimistic one.

Will I lose my data?

Most repairs — screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras — do not involve wiping the device and your data should be untouched. Some software repairs do require a reset, and we will always tell you that before starting so the decision is yours.

Do you fix it while I wait?

Frequently, for straightforward phone repairs where the part is in stock. Tablets and more involved jobs need to be left with us. Ask when you get in touch and we will tell you what to expect for your device.

What if it turns out to be something different once you open it up?

We come back to you. If the fault is not what it first appeared, or something else turns up, you get a revised explanation and price before any further work happens. We will not present you with a bill you did not agree to.

What if my device cannot be repaired?

We tell you plainly and explain why. Not every fault is economical to fix, particularly board-level damage on an older device, and we would rather say so than take your money. Where data recovery is a realistic option we will tell you what that involves.

Is my phone still waterproof after a repair?

Water resistance is achieved with factory-fitted seals designed to be fitted once. Once a device has been opened, nobody can honestly guarantee it. We renew the seals your model uses, which restores a good deal of protection against splashes and rain — but we will not tell you it is waterproof again.

Devices we work on

What devices do you repair?

Phones and tablets from all the major manufacturers — iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, iPad, Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus, Motorola, Sony, Nokia and more. If your device is not on the list, ask.

Do you repair devices other than phones and tablets?

Our website currently focuses on phone and tablet repairs, but the workshop handles a broader range of electronics. If you have something else you would like looking at, get in touch and ask.

Can you repair an older phone?

Often, yes. The limiting factor is usually parts availability rather than the repair itself. Send us the make and model and we will check before you make the journey.

Do you sell phones as well as repair them?

Please get in touch and ask what we currently have. Availability changes, so it is not something we can usefully list on a website.

Payment and contact

How do I get a quote?

Fill in the quote form on this site, call us on 07852 620665, or send a WhatsApp message. Telling us the make, model and what is wrong lets us give you a much more useful answer first time.

Can I message you on WhatsApp?

Yes — WhatsApp is often the quickest way to reach us, and it means you can send a photo of the damage, which genuinely helps. The number is 07852 620665.

Do you charge for a diagnostic?

Get in touch and ask before you come in, and we will be clear about it upfront. We will not run up a charge you were not expecting.
